This modem was used for a short time when I had internet through a cable company, then I moved and internet was provided. It's been sitting in storage for a while. It's older, and while the modem part still works, the WiFi standard these days has changed and many/most ISP's will not support this unit's WiFi capability. You will need a separate WiFi router. Or, if you just need a cable modem for LAN connections only, there are 4 Ethernet connections on the unit. If you just need a cheap way to get online, this will do the trick!
